OMÀYA / LEGAL
Cookie Policy
Effective from 16 September 2026.
1. General information
This Policy explains how OMÀYA uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://omaya-sleep.com/. For information about personal-data processing, see the Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small files or records stored on a visitor’s device. They allow the Website to operate correctly, remember certain preferences and, where consent is given, provide aggregated information about Website use.
2. Cookie categories
2.1. Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the Website’s basic operation and security: a protected session, protection of forms against request forgery, remembering the selected language, and actions expressly requested by the visitor. The omaya_consent cookie keeps your answer on the cookie panel so we do not ask on every page. Your cart is kept in your browser’s local storage rather than on our server until you place an order. Necessary cookies need no consent and cannot be disabled without breaking essential Website functions.
2.2. Statistics without cookies
To understand how the store is used we run Umami, a statistics system that stores no cookies or identifiers on your device and does not keep your IP address. It records, in aggregate, which pages are opened, where visitors come from (for example an ad campaign), the type of device and browser, which products are viewed and added to the cart, how the checkout goes, and the number and value of orders. This data does not tell us who you are. Legal basis: our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in running and improving the Website; you may object using the contact details below.
2.3. Marketing cookies (with consent only)
If you accept, the Website loads the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. It stores the _fbp and _fbc cookies (up to 90 days) so we can measure which ads lead to visits and orders and show ads to people who viewed our products. It records product views, additions to the cart, checkout starts and purchases.
When you place an order after accepting, we also send the purchase directly from our server to Meta (Conversions API): the order value and products, your IP address and browser, and your email, phone, name, city and postcode in irreversibly hashed form. This lets Meta match the purchase to the ad without relying on the browser. Legal basis: your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without consent the Pixel is not loaded and nothing is sent to Meta.
3. Consent and control
On your first visit the Website asks whether you accept marketing cookies. You can choose “Accept” or “Necessary only” — refusing does not restrict any store function. You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; refusing deletes Meta’s cookies. You can also manage and delete cookies through your browser settings.
Withdrawal of consent applies to future processing and does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
4. Retention
omaya_consent— 6 months, after which we ask again;- session and form-protection cookies — until the browser is closed or the session expires;
_fbpand_fbc— up to 90 days, with consent only;- aggregated statistics in Umami contain no data by which you can be identified.
5. Service providers
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. processes Pixel and Conversions API data as an independent or joint controller under its own terms; data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Details: facebook.com/privacy/policy. Umami processes the statistics on our behalf. External websites reached through links apply their own policies.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy when the technologies used or applicable law changes. The current version and its date are published on this page.
